DUSTAPHONICS: DJ Healer Selecta, aka Yvan Serrano, is one of those characters with multiple musical talents, who has traced his own individual and highly independent journey from the beginning. Guitarist, composer, group leader, talent scout, art director, record producer, radio man and one of the UK's most acclaimed professional DJs in the Vintage music scene. (Dj for Eartha Kitt show, Wanda Jackson, Spanky Wilson, Bo Diddley, Chuck Berry, Ike Turner, JD McPherson, Glastonbury fest, etc) Lately, you can discover Serrano, in the movie Boom about the cult Garage Punk Rock from Seattle: The Sonics, directed by the talented American filmmaker Jordan Albertsen of Los Angeles.

Yvan formed his Dustaphonics project in London in 2008, when American actress Tura Satana (Russ Meyer's Faster Pussy Cat Kill Kill) asked him to create songs for his next film. For the best result, Serrano invited 4 young singers who had never played Rock N Roll on stage or in the studio to be front ladies. Aina was in the London hip hop scene. Kay was in London's underground jazz scene. Hayley sang in a tribute band and had never recorded or written songs before, Gizelle was already a well-known Soul singer and in this year 2019, the collective welcomes another sensational Soul singer Rislane.

DJ Healer Selecta (Freestyle Records) invited them to "dustaphonice" their energies and voices. Designer La Mia Bo London proposed glamorous outfit ideas for the stage! Et voilà, by grouping and channeling the talents of each one, the Dustaphonics machine created its effect and goes through its merry way for 10 years, thanks to this specific vision of Serrano, forming an interchangeable 4 pieces line up with members from a team of talented and charming singers and outstanding musicians: Bruce Brand, Dan Whaley, Michael Jablonka, Ludo Nagy, Mike Thorne, Pablo Rodas not to mention Yvan Serrano. Whatever the crew on mission with Serrano tonight on stage, Dustaphonics will share with their fans this original repertoire and this common passion for Vintage Rhythm & Blues sound, Soul, Surf, Rockabilly, Garage Rock and by their savoir-faire, will deliver a modern, authentic and enthusiastic performance, for an energetic and show of quality.

From time to time, Dustaphonics accompanies the Blues Brothers /Ghosts Busters actor Dan Aykroyd on stage at his private parties in London where he sings Chicago Blues / Blues Brothers classics.
